Letters from prison inmates PDF Print E-mail
faith.jpg

Below are a sample of letters received from prison inmates that are a part of the Acts 13 prison ministry in the US. These were read at church and they touched many of us...sometimes it takes things like this for us to realize how much we have and how ungrateful we are for it. May God give us all the eyes to see and a thankful heart!

Letter #1

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The peace and the love of our Lord be with you and upon each one of your loved ones.

First, I pray for this marvellous ministry which is a great help and support for us, the prisoners.  Your work is a great help for us.

The booklets and materials which you sent in December filled my life with immense joy. Even our own family don’t give us such an attention as you, our spiritual family in Jesus Christ, do to us.  With a great joy I receive your books.  I read and learn the ways of the Lord.

I urge you to continue in the prayers so that the Lord will open doors so that the ministry will continue.

I pray to the Lord to continue blessing you with His rich and abundant blessings.

Thank you for your love and support.

Your brother in Christ

Letter #2

Dear brother,

God continue His blessings, opening His majestic heavens to keep this marvellous ministry   “Acts13 Christians Ministries”

Above all things I ask that His abundant Blessings reach you and all those loved ones.

It is my wish that our All Mighty Lord gives you the desires of your heart.

Dear brother it is a pleasure for me to write to you giving thanks beforehand to our “papa God”, for all material received and those which we have not yet received and above all for the salvation that He has given us.

I have in my life this new love for JESUS.  He is my new fragrance and has given to my life a new breath.  Jesus has put His new life in my heart, new melodies in my lips to glorify counting His praises constantly to God;

“KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.”

Dear brother: It is a pleasure for me to have this opportunity to write to you telling you that I am a prisoner physically but for the glory and divine grace I am spiritually free, because of the grace of our liberator.

I want to comment that I was lost for 30 years walking in the desert until I couldn’t more.  Then I cried to the High, my cry of repentance was heard and was answered.  He sent me a liberator from the world of light and in I was saved from the darkness.  Today I walk with the light, this light illuminates my walk, today all my being rejoices from this light, today my vision is clear and I have been worn with the armour of faith, and in my hand I have the sword to do the good fight like a pilgrim in this world.  Today I know that I have the guarantee of the precious eternal life reserved for me. Today I understand that we have been given spirit of discernment through the Holy Spirit.

Today I know also that we are instruments in the hands of the Lord to minister the lost souls, as I was one day.

Today I am glad to let you know that I am doing my part of ministering my family members, my son, my wife and my blood brothers and sisters.  I can see that the words of our Lord are not imprisoned with me but doing His blessed work with my dear ones for the glory and honour of our Divine Master.

Dear brother I thank you for the materials that the ministry sent to me “Rompiendo el Silencio” (Breaking the Silence)  and the same way I am thankful to receive this beautiful Calendar .  Thank you with the bottom of my heart.  I just want to let you know that this place is where I am going to stay for the moment.  Here I am going to stay for 24 months with the favour and grace of our Lord and you can send all your booklets, all kinds of materials which can be a help for my spiritual growth, and strengthen my faith.

Brother it will be a pleasure and honour to have brothers from the Ministry here in New Mexico to receive your support and help.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated internal pastor and one co-pastor who teach us the truth from the word of God.

Brothers I know very well how the situation is out there because of the Crisis.  Let me tell you that even here everything have been reduced including all kinds of benefits and privileges.  We are going through a difficult time but those of us who have put our confidence in the Lord we are rejoicing in these moments in spite of being in the middle of the torment.

Dear brother greetings from all the brethren of _____ wishing you all the blessings of our Lord Christ Jesus in your lives and in the lives of your families.

It is very important that you know that here there are brothers who intercede for all of you, for all the sick in hospitals, for the ones in need, for the widows and the orphans and also for all the prisoners in all over the world.

My dear brother in Christ, I have a request from your ministry.  It is about a Bible dictionary for my studies.  I know that in this time of economical crisis it is difficult but I have put my confidence in someone who is more powerful than this entire crisis.

Letter #3

May the Lord continue His blessing upon you. This letter is for the purpose of asking you, but pardon me for not introducing myself beforehand. My name is ____ and I have been receiving your letters for a long time and they have been of a great help to me. Since your last letter, I thought to myself that you might have been offended from me because I did not write back earlier, but the truth is that I don't know writing very well.
May the Lord bless you continuously, Amen.

Jesus lives!

Your brother.

Please pray for my strength and the fullness of Spirit

Letter #4

Dear Ones,

May the peace of God which surpasses all our understanding, guard your hearts in Christ Jesus and that your ministry would continue prospering. Also, may God supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

I would like to thank you for the book that you sent me. It has been and still is a great help for my spiritual life. Thank you so much for this blessing. With this brief letter, I would like to express my deepest gratitude. Furthermore I would like to receive more material and that if it is possible a visit from you as I have never had anyone visiting me during my imprisonment period. I know that it is going to be a great blessing to have a visit from my brethren in Christ Jesus. Meanwhile if it is possible for you, I would very much appreciate if you could donate a calender to me.

In the name of Jesus dear ones, may the Father of our Lord Jesus bless you abundently.  Amen.

Your brother

Daily Meditation
  • PRAYER PERSEVERANCE

"God . . . hath quickened us together with Christ and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:4-6).

What is our attitude concerning our needs in the Christian life and warfare? Are we outside the armory, struggling and pleading for supplies? Or are we inside the arsenal, ready to be fully supplied and armed as our daily needs require? "Be strong in the Lord--be empowered through your union with Him; draw your strength from Him" (Ephesians 6:10, Amp.).

"It has come these days with new light and power that the first thing we have to see to as we draw near to God day by day is that our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. If we listen in the stillness till our hearts begin to respond to what He is thinking and feeling about the matter in question, whether it concerns ourselves or others, we can, from that moment, begin praying downwards from the Throne, instead of praying upwards from ourselves." -L.T.

"We must not think the revelation as to the will of God is an end in itself; it is but the first phase of a prayer ministry. When Daniel had prayed through to an understanding of the ways of the Lord, he then set himself three times a day to persevere in prayer for the fulfillment. His prayer ministry took him into the lion's den, but it also brought him out again, and he was able to see the things through to the glorious end." -H.F.

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
